How Much Do Appointments Cost?
The cost of appointments depends on the type of service provided. Please see the “Pricing” tab for more info. I aim for transparent pricing that reflects the value of our consultations. All services are provided 1 on 1.
Can I Use Private Health or Medicare?
Most private health funds cover 30% to 60% of the consultation fee, depending on your coverage level. I can process your claim through HICAPS as you pay for your appointment.
With an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Package from your GP, Medicare provides a $60.35 rebate towards your appointment. You pay the standard fee upfront, I send off the claim on your behalf, and you receive the $60.35 rebate from Medicare generally within 24 hours.
If you’ve injured yourself playing sport, you may be able to access sports insurance. Reach out if you would like to find out more.

Yes, at Thrive Physio and Health, I am set up to treat patients under NDIS (for both plan-managed and self-managed participants), WorkCover QLD, and DVA. Those coming through under WorkCover QLD or DVA will need a referral from their GP to be covered under these schemes.

What is Your Cancellation Policy?
I understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, requiring adjustments to your scheduled appointments at Thrive. To ensure optimal service for all patients, I kindly request a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
Missed appointments or cancellations within 24 hours will result in a non-refundable cancellation fee of 100% of the appointment cost. This fee is not covered by compensable bodies. No, you don’t need any referral to see a Physio. In Australia Physiotherapists are primary care practitioners. Feel free to get in touch and book your initial consult today!
How will Physiotherapy benefit me?
Physiotherapy can provide numerous benefits, including pain relief, improved mobility, enhanced strength, and better overall function. It can help you recover from injuries, manage chronic conditions, and improve your performance in sports or daily activities. By addressing the root causes of your symptoms and creating a personalised treatment plan, Physiotherapy supports your path to better health and well-being.
When should you see a Physio? You should consider seeing a Physiotherapist if you experience persistent pain, discomfort, or limited movement, whether due to an injury, surgery, or chronic condition. Additionally, if you have recurring issues or want to enhance your performance in sports, Physiotherapy can provide valuable insights and solutions.
Early intervention can often lead to faster recovery and better outcomes.
What should I bring and what should i wear to Physio?
To ensure a smooth experience, please bring any referrals from doctors, specialists, or surgeons, as well as any relevant scans or images.
Wear comfortable and accessible clothing: for knee or ankle issues, bring shorts; for neck or shoulder conditions, a top that allows easy access to the shoulders is helpful. If you’re dealing with a lower limb condition, please wear your runners or joggers.
